My visit to The Armoury in Hong Kong

Earlier this year I paid a visit to the well known ‘The Armoury’ store in Hong Kong.

While I was there I had the opportunity to speak to Ethan and chose for myself two pairs of Carminas (a norwegian split toe and suede wholecut) that I will share photos of once I’ve worn them in a little. Ethan is very knowledgeable about the products in store (and sartorial matters in general) and his advice when choosing shoes was invaluable. Ethan, if you’re reading this, thank you again for your assistance.

While in store I was permitted to take a few photos which you can view below. The only other thing I can say is I am definitely looking forward to visiting Hong Kong again in the near future.

Bartending is an old and honorable trade

Saw this in the menu at the Everleigh last night and tried taking a photo but alas it was too dark, so here is the quote in good old plain text:

Bartending is an old and honorable trade. It is not a profession and I have no sympathy with those who try to make it anything but what it was. The idea of calling a bartender a professor or mixologist is nonsense.
